                                                                                Breakout; Let The River Flow

Ezekiel 47:1-10

The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. 2 He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was trickling from the south side.......................

Life is in stages, they say. From being a toddler, to a child, a teenager, young adult, progresses to an adult and then old age. We see that this is a natural transition that happens to everyone. You don’t even have to try to grow from a child to a teenager, it naturally happens to you as the clock ticks, no matter what you do, adulthood will happen to you, same as old age. I know for toddlers, breastfeeding aids them to grow into a child but I mean does insufficient breastfeeding stop a toddler from growing naturally into a child? No.

As we have these natural transitioning stages designed by God, we also do have man-made life transitioning. For instance Transitioning from being illiterate to an elite, transitioning from being unemployed to employed, transitioning from living a rent life to living a rent free life, it goes on and on. 

Now, these man-made transitions are not natural. Unlike God’s naturally designed transition (growing in stature), with this one, you will have to try to transition. This type transitioning is based on a condition. For instance, if you enroll yourself in school, you will be educated (elite), if you study financial literacy (savings and investments), you will live a rent free life. 

What do we dominant see here, IF and YOU WILL; there is a condition to inform the results(will be). When there is no effort put in, the good stages of life will not happen to you. As an illiterate, you won’t be there and elite will happen to you, as a poor man, you won’t be there and all of a sudden, riches will happen to you; there is a condition you must fulfill before certain man-designed stages of life happen to you. So we can say in God’s designed stages of life(reproductively), there is no stagnation but in man’s designed transitions and stages of life, there is stagnation.

As we grow naturally in stature, we discover the divine innate abilities, gifts  God purposed for us to manifest when we’re on earth; to serve as our contribution to establish His  kingdom here on earth. God was intentional about it when He placed that seed inside of us. As we grow, we manifest these innate abilities in our own little ways and it is identified by our immediate environments. In our circle of friends, our nuclear families and others. For instance, you have the gift of singing, you sing at home when you’re with your family, when you are with your friends. 

Now you have this urge and push to manifest your gifts to the next avenue available, and the church comes to mind. You start singing in church, God gives you a thumbs up. Now He tells you it’s time to manifest it to the world, then we find ourselves drawing back and resisting to breakout, to do the extraordinary. God is saying today that let the River flow. 

The river( your gifts,talents,visions) is at the brim in the temple (you) so it needs to breakout and flow into the world. God wants to show you that, Though you haven’t allowed for the water to flow, it is coming out from the thresholds on all sides, from the East side, the south side. Breakout and let the River flow.

Verses 1-2

“The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. 2 He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was trickling from the south side.”

The River in the temple, the River in you let it flow. If you keep resisting it, then there will be a breakout because you need to go out there into the world. God said thank you, you’re manifesting in your circle of friends, thank you, you’re manifesting it in your family. Good job, now child, let’s go do the extraordinary, let’s go tackle the main task(going into the world) and I will be with you because it is beyond you. Now, breakout!

  He then shows you the stages and levels you must manifest in your giftings, purpose and talents. The ankle-deep(family and friends), knee-deep(Church, workplace etc), waist level (regions) and then over your head enough that you can swim(nations, the world). These are the levels God wants us to manifest in.

Verses 3-6

“As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits[a] and then led me through water that was ankle-deep. 4 He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist. 5 He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in—a river that no one could cross. 6 He asked me, “Son of man, do you see this?”

We mostly want to stick to the second stage of manifesting in our purposes and gifts, but it doesn’t end there. We shy away from the third, fourth and fifth stages, we don’t want to climb up, we don’t want Ascend! forgetting that the main avenue God wants us to manifest is the World. That is where he wants to establish His kingdom, not in only our circle of friends, not in our families alone.

Children of God, our gifts are not to stay and remain as it is in the first stage(ankle-deep) there is a third(knee deep) fourth(waist level) and  fifth stage(over your head,beyond you of which He is going to help you and be with you swim in manifestations when you get to the fifth level.) And it’s not even as if He won’t be  with you the first three stages. See here, 

Verses 3-6

“he measured off a thousand cubits[a] and then LED ME through water that was ankle-deep. 4 He measured off another thousand cubits and  LED ME through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and  LED ME through water that was up to the waist. “

What do we repeatedly see? and He LED ME! He is going to lead you at every level .You’ve trusted Him with the first to fourth stages as He led you, why can’t you do same at the fifth stage which is beyond you as He leads you again. Trust Him with the over-head level of your purpose. 

Let’s make progress. Now, just like in a man-made designed stages, there is a condition fulfilled before results, same applies to the transitioning of our giftings, purposes and visions. Creation awaits your breakout. If you are able to trust God to lead you in your final stage of transition of your purpose, that’s the over-head level, and allow the River to breakout and flow into the world(dead sea), it will bring every dead thing  to life. 

Verses 8-10

8 He said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah,[b] where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. 9 Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.

He says, When it empties into the sea, the salty water there Becomes fresh. There’s a condition you have to fulfill ( when you empty the River in you into the sea-the world ) , then results are informed ( water there becomes fresh). So until you have emptied your temple (you) of its River, the contaminated sea(unsaved souls, sinners) will still lie there desolate . Until you have emptied your temple of its River, swarms of living creatures remain dead (people that are dead to the spirit and the things of God). 

Until you empty your temple of its River, there will be but a few people/souls won for God’s Kingdom. But if you empty your temple and let the River flow, the will be multitudes of souls to be saved and brought back to life for the kingdom of Jesus. Until we have emptied our temples to let the River flow, none of these will happen.

“When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. 9 Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live. “

After we have allowed our river to flow and brought back to life fishes in the dead sea(win souls, set the minds of people right about Christ, proclaiming Gods love for them), there will be other kingdom pursuers around the length and widths of the world, to gather the fishes(souls). 

10 Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds—like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea.

As a results of your river that has run through them and is still with them, they will not grow weary, they will be sustained by the life in the river, they will a life of fulfilment.

Their lives will make meaning, they will also bear fruit of their own kind (multiplication of souls into Gods kingdom). 

12 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.”

Child of God, your giftings, visions, talents are to reach the ends of the world. Your gift is not to be enjoyed by your friends and families alone; your gift is for the world. The world awaits your breakout. Therefore, breakout and let the river flow!
